My Dear Friends,
Today is one of my favorite holidays of the year. Sixteen years ago my beautiful baby girl, Paula (she’s the knockout to the left), arrived in the world.
Even if my life may have not been perfect back then, she was the most amazing surprise of my life. I don’t mean surprise because I wasn’t planning on having her, she was a surprise because she arrived two months early.
On that day, I learned how to be grateful for everything I had because contrary to early pregnancies, she was healthy and just fine.
Although I was upset that I couldn’t eat the biggest meal of the year (try telling a pregnant lady to skip dinner- good luck), I was thrilled to welcome the first addition to my family.
Since then, I’ve always been grateful for what I had and knew that, whatever the issue, everything was in God’s hands.
I often wish people didn’t wait until Thanksgiving to give thanks for what they were grateful for because I feel like it should be done everyday. Ever since the day Paula was born, I have counted my lucky stars for the blessings in my life.
You’d be amazed at how much your life will change if you give thanks more often and think about all of the wonderful things in your life.
So today, I wanted to tell you that you’re the ones I’m grateful for. You help me stay passionate and love what I do every day. I wanted to say thank you for letting me teach you, motivate you, and welcoming me into your lives to help change for a healthier lifestyle.
Keep up the great work and remember to enjoy all of your favorite healthy foods this holiday. And if you happen to eat a little extra carbs today, don’t worry. It’s nothing a little extra cardio can’t fix tomorrow 🙂
