7 Fat Burning Foods… Revealed!

July 25th, 2012 by Ingrid Macher

It’s no mystery.

In fact, it would be hard to find somebody who doesn’t accept this simple truth…

If you want to become slim and sexy, you have to eat right.

But while it sounds so simple, actually doing it can be quite a different story.

After all, what does eating right actually mean?

Well, we know what it means to “eat wrong.”

We know the foods we need to avoid…

The cookies… the potato chips… the sodas… the sugar… the high-fructose corn syrup that’s constantly creeping into our lives.

This stuff needs to be cut out if we hope to see any progress.

That part is easy enough to understand.

But here’s where the confusion comes in…

Because eating right isn’t just about avoiding all the wrong foods…

It’s Also About Eating The Right Ones!

So after I tell people which foods they need to avoid, this question usually comes
next…

“So Ingrid… if I can’t eat any of that stuff, which foods should I be eating to become slim and sexy?”

You have many options. As long as you’re sticking to a diet rich in quality protein, complex carbohydrates and healthy essential fats, you’ll find your waist shrinking smaller and the
pounds melting off.

But I found from experience that if you want the best results, it pays to keep it simple. The less confusion you face, the more successful you are.

So to limit this confusion and ensure you eat right, you want a list of foods to stick to. A list of foods you can rely on for most of your day- to-day eating. Foods that give your body exactly
what it needs to give you the results you desire.

So I’m going to give you that list. You should use these seven fat-burning foods to form the foundation of your diet… at least in the beginning.

As you become more and more familiar with proper nutrition, you can expand the list. But for now, sticking to these foods will make your weight loss journey much easier.

So here they are…

7 fat-burning foods to get you slim and sexy…

Chicken

It’s a great-tasting source of lean, high-quality protein. Chicken is a staple food of anyone trying to lose weight and look great. It gives you many options to make delicious meals. It can be grilled, baked, or even shredded to make a nice healthy wrap (or to top off a salad). Which way you prefer to eat it is up to you. Either way, the protein found in chicken will help to burn fat and build some lean, shapely muscle from your workouts.

Eggs

Eggs are a great way to start off the day. They’re packed with complete protein, vitamins and minerals. One of the amino acids found in eggs (leucine) has been shown to support weight loss. It helps maintain lean muscle, while allowing fat to be burned. I love to add my eggs
to some mushrooms and peppers to make an omelet loaded with protein and important fibrous
carbohydrates.

Avocados

An avocado is a delicious fruit that is rich in healthy monounsaturated fats. It helps to regulate your body’s blood sugar, so it can avoid the dreaded insulin spike that turns on fat storage. Avocados also contain a rare carbohydrate called mannoheptulose, which has to shown to reverse insulin resistance.

This fat-burning combo makes an avocado a great choice for a healthy snack. As for portions,
you’d be best-served to stick to half an avocado.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal is the breakfast of choice for many fitness enthusiasts. It combines protein with complex carbohydrates to kick-start your day with a boost of long-lasting energy. Oatmeal is also rich in fiber, which helps to control your appetite.

Nuts

This snack is rich in both protein and heart-healthy fats. Eating small portions as a snack can go a long way in reducing cravings of other, less healthy foods. Walnuts and brazil nuts are among the best choices here, as they’re both packed with omega-3 fatty acids. Brazil nuts are also a great source of selenium, which boosts the immune system and improves the health of your skin.

Berries (blueberries, blackberries, acai, etc)

These super-fruits are an ideal addition to any weight loss plan. They are rich in fiber, which helps to control your appetite. They’re also incredibly packed with antioxidants, which keep
your immune system healthy, so your body can function at optimal capacity. You can throw some berries into a blender (with a scoop of protein powder) to make a delicious breakfast smoothie when you’re pressed for time.

Grapefruit

This citrus fruit is big in taste, but incredibly low in calories, making it an ideal snack for anyone trying to lose weight. It’s packed with cancer-fighting antioxidants like lycopene. It also works
wonder in improving your body’s response to insulin.

Studies have shown that eating half a grapefruit before your meals is associated with significant weight loss.

Eating these seven foods will put you on the right track to becoming slim and sexy. They can be mixed and matched to form delicious meals. You have almost endless combinations to choose from.

Are you already eating these foods? If not, add them in! I promise you’ll see stunning results in a short amount of time.
