Get Rid of all the Junk Food

One of the most practical advice I can give you before you get excited about starting your new journey to lose weight is: “Clean the pantry and refrigerator right now!” Take all this junk food away, eliminate temptation.

Seven months ago when I started my own journey the first thing I realized was that having all those temptations around me was frustrating, so I decided to go through my pantry and toss everything in there, and after that the refrigerator. I couldn’t believe how much junk food was in my house. All those foods were so bad and unhealthy not just for me, but also for my family.

The next step I took was going to the grocery store and start over. So my first stop was at the vegetables and fruits section were I picked green vegetables like broccoli, asparagus, green beans, lettuce, spinach and I added carrots and yellow and red peppers. As for fruits, I chose green apples, strawberries, plums and blueberries. I added lemon, limes and sweet potatoes.

Then I went to the meat section where I picked a white fish – tilapia, chicken breast, ground turkey and chicken meat. For breakfast I got oatmeal, Fiber One, cereal, eggs, and Danon Greek plain yogurt since it’s the one with the lowest amount of added sugar and the biggest amount of protein. To make salad dressings I got white vinegar. I forgot to mention that brown rice is a great option for lunch. For snacks, I picked plain almonds, Fiber One bars, Activia fiber yogurt, South Beach snack bars and rice multigrain cakes.

After preparing my meals with these ingredients I have to say that the results within two weeks were amazing. I totally quit coffee and replaced it with these wonderful Green Tea Blueberry Slim Life and the Detox Tea from the brand Yogi. My energy level increased, I was Feeling so new, my performance at the gym improved, and my skin looked great. These changes helped me realize that you can take all the diet pills you want and lose weight, but if you don’t change your habits your life is not going to change. You will probably gain the weight back sooner or later.
