Every time people ask me “what do I need to do to motivate myself to start losing weight?” I always smile and say “how about taking your picture today and post it on your refrigerator or on a place where you can see it every day, to remind you that you do don’t want to be that person anymore”.
After four weeks, take a new one and compare them, and see how your progress goes. You will be surprised! That will give the “jump start” to your motivation and give you the power to make the changes you need in order to accomplish your goal. Make this a monthly ritual until you reach your dream weight; sounds stupid, but it’s very powerful. When you see the changes in your body, face, and even in your spirit you’ll be amazed with how much you can change in such a short period without even noticing it.
Believe it or not, 20 pounds fewer will make a huge difference in your appearance, you will look younger, happier, and stronger and you will feel healthier than ever. Take this opportunity to look at the first picture and ask yourself if that person belongs to you, or the one on the latest picture… and never turn back again.
When I look at my pictures from one and a half years ago, I don’t recognize myself in that unhappy different looking person. She looks stressed out, miserable and especially she looks lost and sad. So different from the good-looking, self assured, energetic, healthy, and happy person I am now. This new model feels and looks better and is always receiving compliments…I always tell my husband how lucky he is for having this new version of me: prettier, younger looking and healthy!
Whenever you’re tempted to break your diet, have a glance to the first and last pictures and decide which of them you want to look like..
