One of the hardest tasks to perform for any human being is to let go of that special piece of clothing that has been languishing on a hanger in the closet forever. Why? Maybe because you wore it when you won a contest; you found the love of your life; you discovered you were going to Harvard; or it was a hit on a sunny day at the beach. This special friend has been gone to college with you; has moved to different places; married and divorce along with you, and it ‘s still in your closet hoping that one day it will fit you again.
How about you take that little red polka-dotted bikini, or those great skinny jeans, and use them as a motivation to make you get back in the game. Tomorrow put that piece of clothing in a place that you can see it all the time, and remind you that your goal is to fit into it again.
From my own experience I always wanted to buy some of those “True Religion” jeans, but my ass was so huge that those jeans went only through half way, so I bought a size 26 and I stared at them every day, for one year. When I finally achieved my goal, I put them through the test, they fit me perfectly. I couldn’t believe it, I cried and screamed like a little girl! My husband was so amazed at seeing me so happy that as a reward, he purchased ten extra pairs for me.
Why keep old memories in your closet that only bring you frustration when you can use them to your own advantage? Wake up all those dormant friends to motivate yourself and help you rescue the old you.
Believe me, it works!
